A spectacular original vintage travel poster issued to promote Victoria Falls as a travel destination.
Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and the major waterfall on the Zambezi River in Africa. It is famous for being the largest waterfall in the world, in the wet season. The African people who live around the falls call it Mosi-oa-Tunya which means "smoke that thunders".
When David Livingstone first viewed the Victoria Falls he described the scenes as "So lovely they must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight."
This must one of the most beautiful African travel posters ever! Stunning!
Small text: “Watch the World breathe listen to a country's pulse”
The poster has a Dutch ink stamp at bottom saying "Afnemen 1. April 1938" telling when the poster was in use.
The poster is in good condition. Has been folded. Mounted on linen.
