This is a fantastic original vintage travel poster decpicting the stately Grand Hotel on Lake Lugano as it appeared in the 1920s, mirrored by the lake's quiet surface.
The hotel was built by Franz Josef Bucher and Josef Durrer who were among Europe’s leading hotel pioneers in the second half of the nineteenth century.
The Grand Hotel opened to the public in 1903, living up to its name by indulging guests with spectacular views and opulence for more than sixty years. Today the former hotel is luxary appartments.
In great condition. Light edge and surface wear. Mounted on linen.
