This is an original vintage Danish political poster for *Venstre, Danmarks Liberale Parti*, created for the first local elections in Denmark after the liberation from German occupation. At this time, Denmark’s streets were alive with political slogans and campaign posters, expressing the hopes and aspirations of a society emerging from the war.
The poster vividly displays the Danish flag, the *Dannebrog*, in red and white being painted with a brush, symbolizing renewal and national pride. The slogan reads: *"NU GÆLDER DET sæt X ved Liste D STEM VENSTRE"* ("Now it matters, mark X for List D, Vote Venstre").
Though showing signs of wear, including fold marks and some paper loss, the poster retains its vibrant colors and remains a compelling piece of post-war political history.
